Pratunam Market is the largest clothing market in Bangkok. The whole area caters more to normal clothing and not so much high fashion clothing, but if you are into that there are a lot of high quality stores in the area of Central World (The old World Trade Center) that is also only a five minute walk from the hotel.

Pratunam is known as one of the cheapest area's of Bangkok concerning clothing, most of the time a good bargaining skill is needed and if you are in a party of people buy toghether in the same shop and ask for more discounts. If you see something prices very VERY cheap that means the seller is trying to attract immediate buys so it could be that is their final price and do not discount there anymore.

The whole area is covered with small streets and many stalls and shops offer various styles of clothing, for ladies and men, for detailed sales or wholesale.

But Pratunam market is not only in and along the streets. The largest part is inside covered areas. Just walk inside these large covered areas to find more clothing. You did not find what you were looking for outside? Look inside the Baiyoke hotel basements (they have two hotels) and the buildings surrounding it, take the elevators to the next floors etc. You will not be bored here.
